ROLE PURPOSE
The Junior Innovation Analyst is responsible for supporting the Innovation function through research, data analysis, business insight generation, digital technology initiatives, innovation project support and operational improvement activities. The role assists the organisation in identifying opportunities, evaluating emerging technologies, analysing business data and supporting the implementation of innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
- Assist with industry research to identify emerging trends, advancements, challenges and opportunities across various sectors and market verticals.
- Support the innovation function by supporting the use and application of IoT tools within the business. Assist in monitoring performance, collecting and analysing data and identifying opportunities where IoT technologies can improve operational efficiency, service delivery and customer experience.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for innovation initiatives by assisting with workshops, maintaining documentation and updating innovation roadmaps to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
- Assist in gathering, tracking and reporting innovation metrics to support the measurement of process effectiveness, efficiency and overall innovation performance.
- Participate in site visits with Operations teams and Regional GMs to observe business challenges, gather insights and support the identification of proactive and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to help understand customer needs, market trends and opportunities for product, service or process improvements.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of innovation processes, policies and systems, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to established practices.
- Contribute to innovation projects by providing support with project planning, coordination, execution and follow-up activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in the preparation of client-facing materials, presentations, reports and demonstrations related to innovation initiatives, products and services.
- Support and uphold the company’s professional image and reputation by demonstrating company values, maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and providing high-quality support across innovation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Degree in Business Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Valid SA Drivers’ License
- 0 to 2 years’ work experience. Exposure to research, analytics, business improvement, project coordination or technology-related initiatives advantageous.
